Who shall be the next President of the most powerful country? Even though many of us are not residents of USA and can not vote, we will be affected by this year’s election.
In the Primary elections there are a wide range of candidates which try to catch voter’s attention, putting emphasis on different issues which cause tension. The struggle between security and privacy-freedom, ecology and industrial growth, between peace and security. Immigrants and minorities. How to deal with Iraq and terrorism, how to deal with the probable economic recession. More or less Government intervention? Should the private life of the candidates mater? Their faith and religious views?
I am interested to find out who you would vote for and why. You can answer the pole and leave your comment.

Hey Mark,
I support Obama for the Democratic primary. I think he is the best chance for this country to return to "politics of conscience" and begin to do what's right for the citizens of the United States and the world. If Hillary Clinton obtains the Democratic nomination, I'll also willingly vote for her in the presidential election. I think she has the potential to do very great things. I'm terribly concerned about the Republican candidates. All seem to be focused on maintaining the "politics of fear" that are so effective at manipulating a large number of U.S. citizens. In my opinion, this climate of false insecurity that has grown during 8 years with Bush is doing tremendous damage to the culture of the country.
There you have it, straight from the gringa's mouth.
:)

p.s. I'm not a member of the Democratic Party. I'm unaffiliated, but these days it seems like anyone who's not a staunch conservative nationalist is pretty much a Democrat.
